When you use any CTAS services (the “Services”, which includes but is not limited to the exchange and purchases of information and data), CTAS appreciates that you are trusting us with your personal information. CTAS takes your privacy very seriously. CTAS’ business is not centered around the collection of personal information but it may collect certain information in the ordinary course of selling or marketing our services, or in transactions associated with purchases, memberships, subscriptions or other commercial activities. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of CTAS Services immediately.
CTAS collects personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register or communicate with us about CTAS Services. The personal information connected to the personalized services include information about personal finances, college search and applications, and other data and information. We will not share any of the personal information without your prior written consent, with the one exception related to Legal Obligations. This restriction applies to all third parties, including contractors working with CTAS, and extends to persons and companies in the United States and outside of it. Personalized service will be performed by CTAS staff, who will keep the information confidential and will destroy personal information in a timely fashion.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).
The personalized service includes providing data and future estimates about college finances. These figures represent estimates and are not binding on either CTAS or the colleges themselves. Please treat these figures as good faith estimates. CTAS does not bear any liability for divergences between ultimate college acceptance offers received by Users and the future estimates.
College Tuition Advisory Services LLC strives to make its historical and forecast numbers as accurate and valid as possible. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of this agreement, you agree to resolve disagreements about the company’s information by contacting it directly and engaging in dialogue to resolve the issue, and not through litigation, court action or arbitration.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
In no event will we or our directors, employees, or agents be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, our liability to you for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount paid, if any, by you to us during the twelve (12) month period prior to any cause of action arising. Certain us state laws and international laws do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above disclaimers or limitations may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights.
